Bids Open for BVI Music Fest

The BVI Music Festival Committee is now inviting persons to submit bids for the 2011 event. Persons, who are interested need to submit a marketing plan for the event, work along with the committee and web designer to ensure adequate publicity of the event, organize press releases in conjunction with the Tourist Board and the committee, plan and execute press conference with committee and sponsorship and organize the launch of the festival and other related activities.

The bids will also have to cover the production of the event, which includes the recruitment and selection of artists; preparation of contracts for the artistes; organization of the order of the events; securing of the stage, lights and sound; coordination of travel and hotel accommodation for artistes; organization of transportation for artistes from airport and back and forth to the show; creation and submission of a budget to the music festival committee for approval; and, promotion of the show.
